Wine Tours and Wine Tasting

What's the point in wine tasting and wine tours? Well, for a lot of people, wine connoisseurs evoke the image of a swarm of super-snobs with pinkie finger extended - maybe even with monocles. While that's not the case at all, there's no mystique surrounding other drinks the way there is wine. You don't conjure the same kind of sophisticated connotations when you think of soda or iced-tea.

That's why wine is so different, so desirable. It's the only beverage around that appeals to our senses and our intellect. Every glass conjures an explosion of taste sensations, and every barrel tells a story. If you look listen closely and do some research, every bottle of wine contains a lesson in history, geography, agriculture, botany, sometimes anthropology, religion, psychology and more.

Wine tasting tours can help you get in touch with your inner wine connoisseur, and while you navigate your way through the seemingly daunting world of wine, you'll have a blast too.

You'll see there's no reason to be snobbish about wine, and nothing to feel daunted about. The only thing worth remembering is that it's worth trying out, talking about and sharing with good friends. We avoid taking wine too seriously, and we suggest you do the same. It's supposed to be fun, you're supposed to enjoy it, and a wine tasting session is the ideal way to do that.

The idea behind wine tasting is this: Slow down, chill out, take some time to appreciate what you taste and embrace it with every one of your senses. Well, except for hearing - no one listens to wine. We do listen to friends who think they're philosophers after a glass too many though…

Take one of our winery tours and experience the colour, smell, taste and sight of some fantastic wine - all while having a laugh and a learning experience.

Whether you're interested in finding out more, becoming a monocle-wearing snob yourself, or just shopping to add to your already stellar collection, our wine tours are a must.
